Quote Of The Week.

The quote of the week comes from Waist High Special Correspondent "Tri-Tip," and was delivered via the highly classified and sophisticated communication system of Yahoo Messenger. It details precisely what "Tri-Tip" will be doing for the evening. He details the information in his own very special way of course. Enjoy.

Happy Easter Weekend.

From Waist High and her Lovely Teenaged Daughter.

And the Waist High quote of the week comes from Waist High Special Correspondent "Tri-Tip," also a Bakersfield law enforcement radio scanner hobbyist: "It's no wonder that...hold on!!! It has just been brought to my attention that an individual has fallen out of a moving taxi cab."

For My Viking Readers.

While the information is still sketchy, preliminary reports coming across the Waist High news desk indicate that the Bakersfield High School Class of 1986 is having their 20 year reunion the same night as the West High School Class of 1986. Digest that my friends.

If this infomation is true, should we go ahead and apologize to the Bakersfield Police Department now??

This information coming on the heels of a conversation Waist High had last evening with her Special Correspondent "Tri-Tip," in which a discussion was had about what we will likely encounter at our reunion. And from which Waist High would like to present her QUOTE OF THE WEEK:

"Tri-Tip": "There will be two factions. There will be the 'naysayers,' those types. Who will be hoisting their Schweppes and leaving early. And then on the other side of the room you will have all the 'evildoers.' People of that ilk. You know, like you and I."

If Your Name Is "Tri-Tip."

Or you are one of his relatives, or you grew up in Arcadia California, then the picture of this 34 year old shopping bag is for you.

For Once, Waist High Is Living In The Future.

In a sick and twisted conversation with Waist High Special Correspondent "Tri-Tip" earlier this morning, the chat turned to The Reunion. It was HIM, not I that brought up the thought that The Reunion is going to be during a time of the year in Bakersfield when it is bloody hot. No chance to dress up and look nice, cause, well, it's bloody hot.

Waist High suggested that with her pull, maybe she could recommend that The Reunion be held in a cooler month. After a bit more screaming, we both began to laugh hysterically as we reminded ourselves, and as Waist High has chronicled thoroughly, Waist High really doesn't have
any pull.

"Tri-Tip": "I am showing up in a Speedo. And tennis shoes. I'm wearing my Johnny Cash t-shirt. That's it. They can go to Hell."

Tri-Tips' Best Quote Of The Holiday Season So Far...

Waist High's "Bakersfield Man On The Streets" and Special Correspondent "Tri-Tip": "So it turns out this thing is not just a fucking booze fest but it's a charity event too. That will nullify all the scummers."

Quote Of The Week.

"Tri-Tip": "In this situation, the best thing you can do is be silent. Silence is golden. It's understood in all languages. It is the universal language for 'I'm pissed off.'"

If My Stalker And #1 Fan Jed Could Only Comment On This, I Am Sure He Would Be Outraged!

Photo, taken in the living room of Waist High Aug. 2, 2005, of a West High School weight belt issued to Waist High Special Correspondent "Tri-Tip" in 1984, courtesy of: The Waist High Collection.

Wouldn't this officially make me the "keeper of all things West High School"?

And to think that somehow I got overlooked when the West High School Class of 1986 reunion committee was formed last month.

"And I'm Just The Devil With Love To Spare..."

Thank you for continuing to check in with Waist High as we continue to not really post, ever.

And so it goes, tomorrow Waist High is off to meet Waist High Special Correspondent "Tri-Tip" for a weekend at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.

Then it is on to Bakersfield for 5 days where I will see if maybe Bake Town might let me meet her new man friend "Chuck." Maybe I can take "Chuck" to the West High School bleachers for a talk. Make sure he knows what he is really getting into by getting involved with this lady and her web site and her "Hell Hole Whores."

Dirtball Quote Of The Week. Wait, No. Quote Of The Year.

Waist High: "So did you have a rough night last night? You sound tired."
Other Person: "I had some of the fellas over. You know."
Waist High: "Do you feel like crap?"
Other Person: "Kind of. Not too bad though."
Waist High: "Man, I can't do that anymore. I can't stand a hang over. You end up wasting the entire next day."
Other Person: "My entire day was not wasted. I did do a little cleaning. I picked up some beer cans..."
Waist High: "You know I am blogging that, right?"

I Hope The Door Did Hit Her On The Way Out!

Tonight, Waist High begins a one week long celebration of one of the most exciting events to happen in a long time.

For the next 7 days, Waist High will be rejoicing the liberation of her long time friend and Special Correspondent "Tri-Tip" from the bonds of his decade long imprisonment. "Tri-Tip" disavowed himself of The Kern County Drunkard this weekend (for a KCD biography, see sidebar) and Waist High could not be prouder. It was something that was long overdue, not real easy, but absolutely necessary.

She got kicked to the curb and he is finally free.

To share the joy with you, my readers, for the next 7 days Waist High will be posting ONLY about drunkenness. Which means that brand new readers to this site will be treated to some of the archived tales of The Kern County Drunkard, the individual upon which "Waist High" was founded.

Stories? Oh We've Got Stories.

Tri-Tip? Tri-Tip. Tri-Tip. Tri-Tip.

Might I remind you that you are Waist High's Special Correspondent? You were elected to that position because you have got stories. And my readers want stories. They are fed up: "Where are all the stories...on your toolbar you list characters, but all I see are washed up rockstars...tell stories. Tell tell tell."

If we are going to tell stories, you are probably going to have to:
1) Start reading this site.
2) Keep saying things like, "Damn. I don't have any of that stuff. I've lost it all. Only things I have are all my police reports."

I'm Sticking To My Story.

If you are Waist High's Special Correspondent "Tri-Tip" and you were trying to convince me that the people of the general Portland, Oregon area are "so fucking backwards" and I just wouldn't hear of it, can I still stick to my story if you don't ever see this?

93309 Por Vida.

The below messages were left on Waist High's cell phone Saturday evening by special correspondent to Waist High "Tri-Tip."

1. A gummer is one of the words that "Tri-Tip" has used for years to describe a certain population of people in my (and his) hometown.
2. I guess it is only fitting that Waist High would receive phone calls like this.

Saturday 11:43 p.m.
"Hey. It's 'Tri-Tip' giving you an update. We are now at the Pour House. Excuse me. Yes, that's what I said. The Pour House. Um. There were almost fisticuffs at the Alley Cat because my ______ _________ __ _______ was there and he was, uh, fried out of his mind and uh, there was a situation. But um we took care of it. We left. Everybody is in tact. Now we're at the Pour House. Uh, I will check in again at another time and place. We're at Gummerville U.S.A. now. Gummerville U.S.A. We're off of Fruitvale Avenue. Gummerville. I am in trouble. But. Uh. Anyway. I will get back to you as soon as I can."

Saturday 12:06 a.m.
"Ah, this is 'Tri-Tip' reporting in from Bakersfield California. Reporting in to Oregon. Uh. (laughing) I'm in a far far away land right now. But I'm having a really good time. So anyways. Have a merry Christmas. And uh, I will get back to you here. I had a couple of scummers here in the bathroom right now so I had to like, like, cloak it. But it's all good now. Everybody's gone. But. I. Instead of ordering 1 glass of beer I ordered a pitcher. It is 'Tri-Tip' signing out from Bakersfield California from the Pour House. I will talk to you later. Bye."

The Position Has Been Filled.

Waist High special correspondent "Tri Tip" demonstrates why he was chosen as Waist High's first official special correspondent.

"Tri Tip" dispatched the following text message from Bakersfield's Wall Street alley last night: "Social D played tonite! All the old school scummers are here at the Alley Cat!"
