Ultravox To Reunite.

The classic Ultravox line-up (Warren Cann, Chris Cross, Billy Currie, Midge Ure) are coming together for the first time since performing at Live Aid in 1985 for a UK Ultravox reunion tour.

The Return to Eden Tour begins Apr. 10, 2009, at the Edinburgh Playhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Ultravox, originally known as Tiger Lily, was formed in 1973 by Dennis Leigh (later to become John Foxx). The band had two major periods, 1973-1979, and 1980-1986. The initial line-up comprised Leigh, Cross, Stevie Shears on guitar, Cann, and Currie.

In 1978, Stevie Shears left the band and was replaced by Robert (Robin) Simon. Foxx left in 1979 and was replaced by Ure, who joined the band as vocalist and guitarist. Simon left shortly thereafter. It is this incarnation that gave us the albums Vienna, Rage in Eden, Quartet, and Lament. Quartet delivered the magnificent "Reap the Wild Wind," and Lament gave us the Waist High favorite "White China," and the 1984 single "Dancing with Tears in My Eyes," about the fear of the possibility of a nuclear power plant meltdown. Lament was the last album to feature the "classic" line-up of the band.
