Depeche Mode Nominated For Two Grammy Awards.

The boys from Basildon have been nominated for Best Alternative Music Album (Vocal or Instrumental) for Sounds of the Universe, and Best Short Form Music Video for "Wrong" (Directed by Patrick Daughters and produced by Jonathan Lia.)

Nominations for the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced Wednesday night.

Sounds of the Universe is the 12th album from Depeche Mode, and "Wrong" was their 46th single in the UK. The single for "Wrong" includes the B-side "Oh Well," the first song in nearly 30 years to be co-written by Dave Gahan and Martin Gore.

Gore told
The Quietus: "It wasn’t a real co-write because I had originally written the song as an instrumental but Dave heard it and liked it and he took it back to his hotel room and wrote some words and a melody over the top. It wasn’t like we sat in a room and wrote it together. But I guess it is interesting in as much as it is the first time we’ve co-written a song."
