Happy 25th Birthday Alf.

The first solo album from Alison Moyet after the break up of Yazoo, Alf went to #1 in the UK. Three singles came from Alf, "All Cried Out," (UK #8) "Love Resurrection," (UK #10) and "Invisible," written for Alison by Motown legend Lamont Dozier. "Invisible" made it into the US Top 40, the only one of Alison's songs to ever do so.

In 1985, the year after the album was released, Alison was named top female vocalist at the British Record Industry Awards, the British version of the Grammys.

Alf, Moyet's one-time nickname, sold over 1.5 million copies and was produced by the veteran songwriter/producer team of
Tony Swain and Steve Jolley.
