Spandau Ballet To Release Acoustic Album.

The reformed band, who begin the first leg of their world tour Oct. 13 at the O2 Arena in Dublin, are scheduled to sign a new record deal with Mercury Records. A band source told a UK tabloid: "All the major labels have been fighting to get them on board, but Mercury has come up with the best terms."

The album is set to be a collection of stripped-down versions of all their greats.

A Spandau Ballet documentary is also in the works. "It will be a documentary covering the lads' ups and downs over the years."

Says Gary Kemp: "It will be a feature-length documentary with us talking about everything that's happened over the years. We won't shy away from tackling the bad times."

Tickets for Spandau Ballet's first of three nights at London's O2 Arena (October 20/21/22) sold out within 20 minutes of going on sale.

Spandau Ballet (1979-1989), are Tony Hadley, Gary Kemp, Martin Kemp, Steve Norman, and John Keeble.
