"We're Talk-in' About Money Money."

Simply Red have released the Waist High favorite "Money's Too Tight (To Mention) 09," a new version of the well known track which was originally released back in 1985 and gave the band their very first UK hit. "Money's Too Tight (To Mention) 09" is a brand new re-recording of the song for 2009, this time produced by Mick Hucknall himself. The track is available digitally only and is not on any album.

The song has also been given the dancefloor treatment by remixers Haji & Emanuel and Alex Gaudino. So as well as Mick's re-record there are 6 completely new remixes of the track available right now on iTunes and in Simply Red's own digital store.

A sneak peak can be found at Simply Red's
official myspace.

"Money's Too Tight (To Mention)" was written and originally released in 1982 by The Valentine Brothers. "The song relates to the economic problems of the 1970s and 1980s, and specifically mentions Reaganomics, a set of economic policies implemented by US president Ronald Reagan in order to encourage the growth of the American economy."
