Happy 25th Birthday No Parlez.

The 1983 album by Paul Young was his first #1 album in the UK. The single, "Come Back and Stay," had different videos for the US and the UK.

The album's first two singles, "Iron Out the Rough Spots," and a re-make of "Love of the Common People," had no success, but the third, a cover of the Marvin Gaye classic, "Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home)," was #1 in the UK singles chart for three weeks in the summer.

Similar success followed all over Europe. In the UK, the follow-up single, "Come Back and Stay," reached #4, and a re-release of "Love of the Common People" made it to #2. No Parlez was certified platinum in various countries. No Parlez also featured a cover of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart."

Young will mark the anniversary of No Parlez with a special 2 CD edition of the album, to be released on Jul. 14. "The release will feature the original album alongside a CD of remixes, demos, and live tracks."
